Congrats to Jesse and Jason for attending the Level One Crossfit Certification this past weekend in Calgary. Cross your fingers that we all passed the test. Sorry I couldnt seem to crop the other seminars out but they are pictured in the fourth group from the top. Can anyone name all the Crossfit celebs that were there as trainers?
WOD
"Filthy Fifty"
50 box jumps (24/20)
50 jumping pullups
50 KBS (53/35)
50 walking lunges
50 K2E's
50 push press (45/45)
50 back extensions
50 WBS (20/14)
50 burpees

- Typically the standards for this workout are the same for both sexes but we are running it the same way we always have with the standards set as above. If you have done it another way in the past and would like to keep it consistant go with that same set of standards so you can compare your progress. The last time we did this benchmark was July 26, 2011

wow look at all those thousand dollar bills

I got there a bit early for the test, and had a chance to catch the last bit of instruction on the snatch. I think the old dude in jeans was epic. I'm not sure if that's epic in a funny way, or epic in a bad way, but it sure was...interesting training apparel.
Looks like some fit mofo's in that cert. Huge props to JT and Kramps for coming in 1-2 while doing Fran. Reppin' CFLA. Love it.

Congrats to JT and Kramps this weekend, nice work!
Wore a heavy shirt for the workout this morning so I could get a good sweat and be more like Ward... :)
WOD: 24:58
No PR for me this morning, was a battle and just wanted to get through it. Nice class this morning, nice to have Fraser rep'in at 6am.

Great job on the weekend boys!
WOD: 29:07
This was my second time doing Filthy Fifty although the last time I did it, I used 30 reps instead of 50. This one sucked as much as I thought it would. I finally started getting the kip down on my K2E so I was happy with that. The burpees were by far the worst part of this WOD - was feeling dizzy if I stopped moving. Double unders are getting better too.
Great job 11am!

Box jumps with a 14" box, knees no where near elbows, but as high as I could get'em! K2E's and burpees were slow, did most of them in 3's. Last time I did this with the same box/weights my time was 44:22. Goal was under 40...next time

Kirby
WOD - humbling 31:04 rx (about 10 seconds shy of previous best)
I can't remember if the last time we did this I did legit K2E where you have to give it a little pull up at the end to actually have your knees hit your elbows, but I did this time. Damn me and my short femurs, needed quite a pull. K2E's took a long time, as did WBS and burpees. I felt like I was moving pretty quickly up until the back extensions...then my back got really jacked up and the wheels fell off. I hate this WOD...which is why I make myself do it everytime haha. Nice job 5ers!!

Jasmine
31 something, I think
I did 50's but only used a 10lb wall ball and did reverse-hyper somethings (I think?) instead of back extensions. LOVED the double unders and box jumps... my faves.
I am looking for about 6 volunteers to sell raffle tickets and programs with me at the Wednesday, February 8th Hurricanes game. Proceeds go to the 'Canes and the United Way. It is a committment of about 3 hours - 5:45pm 'til about 8:45pm. If you are a hockey fan, you can catch most of the game during the periods and you are working the intermissions. Free entry to the game and supporting a good cause! Email me at jasmine.klym@mnp.ca if you would like to join me.
